Niki Evans is one of the real success stories of X Factor.

Reaching the final in 2007, she has gone on to carve an enviable career in musical theatre. During the X Factor final, Simon Cowell referred to her rendition of the winner's song as 'by far the best'. She has just completed a season playing Mrs Johnston in the hit West End show Blood Brothers and is currently reprising that role on a National Tour.

Niki has started recording her new album with producers John Miller and Rod Edwards for independent label, wizardpresents. On October 19th she releases a single entitled Walk in the Silence, based on the 19th century writings of Native North Americans Chiefs. Also included is a bonus track, Daddy won't be Home Tonight.

The single marks the beginning of a change of style for Niki. Although Walk in the Silence is a powerful ballad, it is not pop and gives an indication of where the album will be heading. There is just a nod to Peter Gabriel and of course, an astonishing vocal performance.
